Our Story so far…

With one man, one van and a passion infused enthusiasm, our business began!
Trading purely from the comfort of his own living room in Harrogate, Marcus Hodgson was the local ‘go to guy’ for all thing’s sofas and beds! His business gained good footing in the local market, with growing interest and orders, Marcus soon outgrew his living room and needed somewhere for Springer Interiors to call home.

So, back in 2016, now employing two members of staff, we opened our first retail unit in the City of Leeds! Selling discount furniture and ex-display stock, sourced locally and from dealers in West Yorkshire, interest in our business grew rapidly. Which, of course, we were incredibly happy about! Naturally as the interest grew, so did our business. We began looking at areas to improve our service and look at the quality of our products.

During our many hours of market research, we discovered a gap in the market for high-quality, timeless, British-made furniture. Due to most manufacturing being sourced from outside the UK, quality and price were not always a match. Therefore, we started looking for UK stockists and woodworkers. We now have a brilliant group of suppliers who manufacture in the UK, which has allowed us to hand select products based on our specifications and high standards. We do continue to work with several of our suppliers that are not based in the UK, all of which we have fantastic relationships with and guarantee first class quality in their products.
As our business has grown, so too has our need for larger premises. In 2019 we moved from Leeds and relocated in Darlington. We rented a unit that was relatively small, however, the potential was great. We were soon increasing this space, taking on additional units and creating showrooms for our customers to visit. In June of 2020 we have now moved to a combined larger space that we are currently renovating ready to welcome our customers back in store, we have certainly missed you all during lockdown!

Our need for staff has also grown. To accommodate our expansion, we have employed dedicated teams to deal with all aspects of our business from design, marketing, delivery, and customer service. We strive to ensure that our customer care is a cut above the rest and that the fastest response times possible are achieved. We also have an in-house expert delivery team who will take great care of your products and home.

Our growing success is down to several different factors. We have a great team that we are immensely proud of, they work tirelessly to keep our business running smoothly. We keep up to date with all the latest trends and styles, meaning we deliver fresh and fashionable products. We have forged fantastic relationships with our suppliers who give us a great deal of support when it comes to orders and deliveries. Then finally last, but by no means least, our relationship with you, our customers. Without our customers we couldn’t do what we do, and for that we are so grateful. With continued effort we hope to expand our business further, so watch this space, we have exciting ideas planned!
